Problem with cross-tab in 7.03 not detecting NULL

edited June 2004 in General
We've just noticed a potentially serious problem that the cross-tab
component in RB7.03 (D6) does not display a record count for a record which
contains a "null" in one of the group fields. Uusally this would appear as
a count under an "empty" heading, or even under "Null".

This was a problem as we were reporting student returns. Admittedly it was
due to a data configuration problem (the field should not have been null -
but this is a real world).

Is this the expected behaviour for the cross-tab component (ie dropping data
without warning)?

Kind regards

Barry

    Hi Barry,

There is a Skip Nulls property for each value in a CrossTab that by default
is set to True. The easiest way to set this value is to right click over a
Value definition (caption) and uncheck the "Skip Nulls" option in the popup
    menu.
