7.04 build 2 + D6: mouse wheel not working anymore

edited June 2004 in General
In build 1 mouse wheel worked very slowly, but now, using build 2, it
doesn't work anymore, just like with 7.03 and before.

A bug?

    No problems in D7.

    Hello,

Which edition of ReportBuilder do you have installed? In my testing with
ReportBuilder Enterprise 7.04 Build 2, Delphi 6, on Windows XP and Windows
2000, the mouse wheel worked flawlessly. I am using the default Microsoft
    USB/PS2 mouse driver.

I've RB Pro 7.04 build 2, Delphi 6.02 + RTL 3, Win XP SP 1, Logitech Di Novo
driver (mouse wheel works flawlessy with *any* software).

Using build 1 the wheel worked, but scroll was very slow. So, that's
definitely not a problem of mouse driver, but something internal to RB.

    Hi,

I just tested with your exact configuration (minus the mouse) and the mouse
wheel seemed to work correctly at design and run time. Be sure you are
clicking inside the preview window before trying to scroll. If you get a
chance, please try a different mouse/driver and see if you can get different
    results.

    One difference is Delphi.

One of you is using Delphi 6[.0] and the other Delphi 6.02 + RTL 3.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for your feedback. I updated my version of Delphi 6.02 with the RTL3
files before testing and the mouse wheel seemed to work correctly (for my
mouse). This appears to be a mouse driver issue that I will need to
research. I'll let you know when I find something.

i tested the same compiled exe on different machines with different mouse
drivers (logitech wireless, microsoft, etc.), obtaining the same results:
wheel does not work at all.

At this point i give up.
