Ploblem converting from 7.03 to 7.04

edited July 2004 in General
I installed the last maintenance from 7.04 für Felphi 5. We also use the BDE
and Oracle

Now we are getting Problems using old reports. But it also happens if we try
to create a new report:

TdaMetaCache.Getfields: unable to find table TMS_FPVI_FS_ZG

But this also happens with any other table.
Is this a known problem? What can be the solution instead reinstalling
7.0.3?

Kind regards
Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas,

This error is usually caused by the inhability of DADE to successfully
connect to your database. For new reports, check the
TppDesigner.DataSettings properties to be sure it all the parameters are
correct to connect to your database. As for existing reports, you might try
loading the templates at design time and check the datasettings there. You
can also check the datasettings from DADE to be sure they are correct.
There should be no reason that this behavior should have changed between
    7.03 and 7.04.

    You
Thank you but sorry this is reproducable. I also cannot change all of my
reports for my several customers and at all of their individual reports.
    Therefore I returned to 7.03
Which settigs could be wrong? Because with 703 everything works fine.
It looks like I have to wait for a further update.

    Hi Nicolas,

I am in the process of installing Oracle now so I can test with your
configuration. I'll get back to you once I find something. Thanks for your
    patience.
