Saving Main Report Versus Subreports

edited August 2004 in General
I've noticed that if I have a main report with subreports and I execute a
save while on the subreport, only the subreport is saved under the main
report name. How can I force the save function to save the entire report
(including subreports) when I'm on a subreport tab. Or how to switch back
to the main tab under program control automatically before executing a save?

Thanks,

Al Willis

    Hi Al,

When you save your report while designing a subreport, you should have two
extra options in your File menu... Save Subreport and Load Subreport.
Clicking Save Subreport should only save the subreport down as the template
file. Selecting the Save or Save As options should save the entire report
down. In my testing with ReportBuilder 7.04, this is the behavior I
encountered. Which version of ReportBuilder are you using?
