Canvas does not allow drawing: side question

I see that many people have had this problem with RB 6.0x and that a
patch was available to fix it.

Is RB 6.03 already patched?

I also saw someone had a XP machine that the printer was physically
disconnected which caused the error.

I have a program that people are running through either Citrix or NFuse
(web based citrix). If they I go through Citrix, my local printers are
detected properly on XP. If I go through NFuse, my local printers are
not found on XP, unless I am already logged with Citrix as well. So
this makes me think that maybe RB 6.03 does not have the patch discussed
in other threads?

I pretty sure I could upgrade to RB 7.x, but that would require a
recompile and I was hoping that maybe the RB 6.0x patch would only
require replacing the rb*.bpl files. True?

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Hi,

There was an issue in RB 6.03 where the "Canvas does not allow drawing"
exception was raised when an application did not have security access to
print. The issue was resolved for ReportBuilder 7. Unfortunately we cannot
support older versions of ReportBuilder. If you would like this fix, you
will need to upgrade to the latest version.
