Transposed printing?
I have a subreport that is printing on top of a summary section when it
should be printing at the bottom of the summary band beneath a variable
number of regions. The subreport is overlaying some of the regions. Is
there anything that usually causes this? I know the details are general but
I'm looking for a general answer.

Try setting the ShiftRelativeTo Property of the subreport to the bottom most
region. This will keep the subreport below that region.
