I just started the tutorials come with Report Builder, however, I got
stuck with the first tutorial: Quick Test Spin.

I opened Delphi, put the TPPReport onto a form, double click that to
open it, click the Data tab, select File|New to access the New Items
dialog. However, I cannot anything inside this dialog, am I missing
something ?

Hello,

Before you select File | New, you need to define your Data Settings (File |
Data Settings). This dialog will let you select a database to use while
designing queries. For the Tutorials, you will want to select BDESession
for the Session Type and DBDEMOS for the database name.

Why the tutorials did not mention that ?

Alan,

I'm sorry, are you using the Learning ReportBuilder application? I believe
the datasettings are supposed to already be set for you when you run this
program,(set to use a DBISAM database). I will check this documentation for
you.
