Distribution of report without change of kode

edited October 2004 in General
Hi !

Would like to know if it's possible (mainstream without to much twists and
turns) to build a solution where reports could be distributed and used in an
existing application without changes to the application (compilation)?
I have looked at tutorials and help info, and found that this should be
supported, but would like you to confirm.
Is it correct to assume that Templates is the way to go?
For storage of these kind of reports, what would be the best solution,
DataBase and Blob's?

Could You could point to tutorials/demos wich demonstrate this behaviour?

Thanks
Petter

    Hi Petter,

Take a look at the DBISAM end user example located in the \RBuilder\Demos\4.
EndUser Databases\DBISAM\1. Native\... directory. This will give you a good
idea of what is possible storing Templates on a database.

    Hi Nico,

I have tried to follow the ReadMe.doc. in the 1. Native folder, but when I
try to compile the rbISAM77.dpk, I get the following error :[Fatal Error]
rbISAM77.dpk(35): Required package 'db310d7r' not found.
I have searched my machine, there is no file with this name.

    What have I missed ?

    Thanks
    Petter
