New Blog Posts: Merging Reports - Part 1 and Part 2

Detail lines are repeating on next page

edited November 2004 in General
I have a pretty complex report with subreports in a main report and
subreports in each of the subreports. There are also many regions and
richtext fields.

In (at least) on of the subreports it prints the first 3 items on the
bottom of page one, then on the top of page two it reprints those three
items and the rest of the list. This band is not in a region that is
set to keep together. None of the fields are set to reprint on
overflow. What else could be causing this to happen?

Thanks

And I just noticed that the dbCalc I have that is summing the totals
column is adding in the ones that are reprinting twice once for each page.

    Hi Chris,

Which version of ReportBuilder/Delphi are you using? This is not a known
issue with ReportBuilder. If possible, please send a small example of this
behavior that I can run on my machine in .zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a look at it for you.

I can try but i'm not sure I can. This report has JEDI, woll2woll,
rbaddon, etc components on it. plus it goes against my database
structure. I'll try to make a simple version with just the issue if i can.

    I'm using Delphi 7 with RB7.04
