data PipeLines and TppDPTeeChart

i'm playing for the first time with a dbchart.
When i select Dataset from the dropdown ctrl in the Series->Datasource tab, i
can't see the datasources or the pipelines i have placed on the form where the
ppReport is.
I notice the same behavior in the demo project (unit 92)
The queer thing is that the demo works perfecly and i can see data in the chart!
Any clue?

Which version of TeeChart are you using. If you are using the version that
comes included with Delphi 7, it is not fully supported at design time. See
the ReportBuilder help in the ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi
7... section for the features and limitations of each version of TeeChart.
Note: If you access the chart editor at runtime, you will see the
datasources.
