RB9 Demo and Teechart

edited November 2004 in General
I don't suppose there's a way to get the demo version of RB9 to use my
version of Teechart (7 Pro)?

I've installed the demo from the D2005 Partners CD but the Tee404
folder only has dcu files.

Regards,
Cary.

    Hi Cary,

At the time of our release of RB 9, I do not believe TeeChart 7 for Delphi
2005 was available yet. I will contact Steema and obtain a copy and should
have the propert .dcu files available for you sometime early next week.
    Thanks for your patience.

    Thanks Nico,

Since my original post I've upgraded to RB9E rather than the demo and tried
to use the source I had to register TC7 support in RB7 but there seems to be
a number of underlying changes to the RB9 base classes
(TppCustomComponent/TppComponent) which are giving the compiler grief.

eg. the following seem to have disappeared...

    procedure CreatePopupMenu...
    procedure PaintDesignControl...
    procedure PopupMenuClick...

So I guess I'll have to wait for the proper source - patience is not one of
    my better virtues

    Regards,
    Cary.

No hurry Nico, I've now installed RB9E/D7 and used the teechart 7 source
supplied with this installation to install teechart support in RB9E/D2005.

May not be the official source but it's enough to let me test until Steema/DM
    release the proper code.

    Cary.

    Hi Cary,

I have been in contact with Steema and it appears they have not yet released
an official version for Delphi 2005 that you can purchase on their web site.
Once they do, I will be able to recompile our packages and send you an
    update.
