RBAddOn Roberts Browne Limited

edited December 2004 in General
Does anybody know if RBAddOn works together with RB9?

There seems to be no update available and they do not answer support mails.
I avoid using these components for new projects, but I have some old reports
which I do not want to change.

TIA
Bernd

I second that! I need this as well but have heard nothing.

And what about TExtraDevices? Or the DBISAM file? Are these updated for
    RB9 as well?

    Thanks,

    1. DBISAM file is already there. Check the \RBuilder\Demos\4. EndUser
    Databases\DBISAM\1. Native\ subdirectory for daDBISAM.pas.
    2. I believe TExtraDevices has a version for RBP9
(http://www.waler.com/textradevices.htm); though, I have not installed the
    new version yet.
    3. I am still waiting for Grid Pack (http://www.planitechnologies.com/)
    4. I am also waiting for ReportBuilder Export Devices Pro
    (http://www.rarefind.com/rbpro/index.html)

Nevermind, my page did not update. Tried on a different machine and I see
    the update. Sorry.

Thanks for the info on #1 and #2, I found them.

Regarding RBAddOn, it does not look good. They emailed me back and said:
"I don't and at this time I can't promise a timeframe other than to say that
the earliest one might expect it is February 2005."

So those of us who relied on that might be in trouble. Unless we find that
we can simply add/remove some units from their existing packages to include
the updated RB units, and be OK. If I find this to work, I'll let everyone
    know.

Waler has releaaed an update already.

For RBAddOn I already got this answer for RB7. Heck, what a bad investment.

Agreed, a bad investment. And not only that, but I know of no replacement
for the calendar components, nor the useful RBCodedField (to make it easy to
do what others are asking on this newsgroup, simulate a lookup field). Does
    anyone else know of alternatives?

I thought Grid Pack was going to come out with a calendar control for their
next version. I would send them an email.
