Page Style Watermark?

edited December 2004 in General
I have some text that I need to display as a watermark on a page. To do
this I added a label to the form, changed the caption, and set the font
color to a very light gray. It looks great in the print preview screen but
when the page is printed the watermark text is solid black! I can add a
shape to the page and set the fill color to the same color as the text and
it looks and prints just fine so I know that it's not that the printer is
set to solid black and white.

Thanks All,
Branden Johnson

    Hi Branden,

Some printers have issues printing certain shades of gray. Try printing to
a different printer and see if you get the same results. Also be sure you
are using the latest printer driver for the printer you are using.

I said in the previous post that I CAN put a shape component on the form and
change the color to the watermarkcolor (that light shade of gray) and ity
prints just fine. It just won't print this color with the font property of
a label set to this color???

    Thanks All,

    Hi Brandon,

Have you tried printing to a different printer? This is not a known issue
with ReportBuilder nor are we able to recreate it on any of our printers
here. If you would like you can send an example of this behavior to
support@digital-metaphors.com in .zip format and I'll try to print it here.
