Controlling the order of section sub reports ?

edited December 2004 in General
On my RB7 report the main report just contains 9 sub reports in the detail
band.

To start with all of these were set to "child" reports and they all printed
in the order they were set out. You can use the "Shift relative to .."
option on each one to point to the previous one.

Then I needed to use headers and I realised I have to change them to
"section" sub reports. The "Shift relative to .." option is now disabled
and they are printing in a strange order with the last page, 9, first and
then the others.

I changed the last one back to a "child" report and used the "Shift
relative to .." option and then set it back to a "section" report and now
page 8 prints first and then the others. So even though this options is
disabled it seems to be having some effect on the report layout !!

So how do I control the order of a group of "section" subreports ?

    Hi Andrew,

The order in which the subreports are printed is determined by the z-order
of the report. This can be changed using the "Send To Back" and "Bring To
Front" options by right clicking over any report object. Select the Report
Tree from the View | Toolbars menu option in the designer to see this order
    in its current state.
