Why Images/Barcode print completly black??!

Hi all

I start experiencing printing problems with images or barcodes, they some
times print all black, instead of printing the corresponding image or
barcode the whole area prints black.

I first taught it was the third-party RCL component that I use for the
barcode, but it also happens with the RB image component.

Is some one else experiencing this strange behavior?

I'm using D7, RB v7.03 and PSOFT Barcodes

The image rendering has been improved since RB 7.03.

Try downloading a trial version of RB 9 for D7 and perform the same test.
(Backup your existing installation and reports prior to installing RB 9.)

If I did not think there was a high probability that the latest release
would solve your issue, then I would not suggest downloading the trial and
testing it.

This has been an ongoing issue that some customers have reported. The image
rendering in the latest release contains improvements that most customers
have reported solved their issues.

The other factors involved are the printer drivers and the application
itself. Some printer drivers are buggy and some leak resources and memory.
You can always try updating them. You can also test the application for
memory leaks.

Hi Nard, thanks for the info., I did some additional testing and this is
what I discover so far.

I agree it is hard to pin-point the cause, nevertheless I cleared
printer drivers because I have the same problem on 5 different printers, 1
Thermal and 4 Laser, plus I test them with different drivers (PCL 5, PCL 6,
etc.) and I keep getting this problem.

I test other Barcodes VCL's, from PSOFT to TurboPower Systools and I get the
same result.

Then I convert a small report of my application to QR with PSOFT and
QR-Image and the problem disappears including the Logo problem.

But with RB and PSOFT with RB-Image I get only 6 good prints out of 10.

So is either a RB problem or a Application but the strange thing is that
with QR the problem disappear.

I'll try the trial version and see if that helps.
