Thanks for the answer. Now, I think that the best thing to do is to send you my report. Here it is; follow these steps :
1 - Open it in Report Designer. 2 - Select SubReport tab at bottom of the screen. 3 - In the Calc Tab, go to Module screen. 4 - Go to Declarations -> Constants. 5 - Try to add a CONSTANT. You should now have reproduced the problem. The first line in the code editor should be "const", but "var" is there.
Thanks for the example. For future reference, please send all files in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com.
I was able to recreate this issue. At first glance it looks as though this is going to be a difficult to track down. Unfortunately when I do, I will not be able to provide a fix until we do another release of ReportBuilder. I have marked this down to be researched and fixed for the next mantenance release. Thank you for pointing this out.
As for now, I found that if you declair a "dummy" constant in the main report and compile it, then go to the subreport and try to create a new constant, it seems to work correctly for your template. It's not the best workaround I know, but it should keep you going until we can create a new version. Thanks again for your feedback.
thanks for the answer. I already found the workaround, but my reports causes an Access Violation. I'll try to rebuild my report. If I find something else to investigate on, I'll tell you.
