RB 9 und Delphi 2005; Problems with Clipboard
Hi!
I'm using now Delphi 2005 Architect German and Report Builder 9.01.
We just upgraded from Delphi 5 an RB 7. There are several things new now.
One of them is the work with the clipboard.
In the past I often use CTRL+C and CTRL+V to copy the Display Format of
a DBText to another. Or I click in the ReportBuilder on a SubReport just for
to copy the SubReport-Name in object-inspector to the clipboard.
All problems I have with clipboard are just if ReportBuilder is opened.
If the ReportBuilder-FrontEnd is closed then I can work normaly with Delphi
and the clipboard. It seems ...the clipboard swiched off when I open the
ReportBuilder-Frontend.
Do you have any information about this? Is it normal?
Thanks!

This appears to be a bug with Delphi 2005. As a test I placed a TTable on a
form and double clicked it to show the Field Editor. I noticed that the
copy/paste functionality in the object inspector did not work while that
dialog was active either. I'm not immediately sure what is causing this
behavior but in the past we have had other issues involving the use of
design windows in the new Delphi IDE. I will mark this down to be
researched to possibly find a workaround for the next release. Thanks for
the feedback.
Note: I also tried to recreate the error with Delphi 2005 Update 1 with the
same result. Apparently it is a bug that was overlooked for the first
update.
