delphi 5
Hi,
What is the latest version of ReportBuilder that is compatible with Delphi
5? (and still available and supported). I'm currently using RB5 and starting
to think about upgrading but don't really want to upgrade both Delphi and RB
at the same time!
Many thanks,

The latest version of ReportBuilder that is compatable with Delphi 5 is
ReportBuilder 7.04. All registered RB 9 users are welcome to use this
version of ReportBuilder however we will no longer update/repair issues
having to do with RB 7.04. Below is a small article explaining why w no
longer support Delphi 5.
About Delphi 5
------------------
Digital Metaphors only has the resources to support the latest 3 versions of
Delphi. With each version the VCL has internal modifications that make it
difficult to port the code backwards and get it working. That is why there
is no RB Server Edition for D5. The number of customers using D5 is now
quite small, with many of those looking to update to D2005.

Delphi 2005. Since there are too many issues with D2005, we have decided to
stay with Delphi 5 for the foreseeable future however, would love to upgrade
Report Builder 9.

Same here. We have also the problem that some components are only available for
D2005 (like RB) and some are *not* available for D2005 (like DreamScripter).
The only thing we could do is to upgrade to D7.

We haven't got the resources at present to go beyond Delphi 5 which would
mean refactoring all our components. Where can we download a trial version
of ReportBuilder 7.04 from?
