Disappearing Print

edited February 2005 in General
Can You think of any reason why Print sometimes just disappears ?
Device = Printer
I get the Printerdialog and press OK, then nothing happens. The Cancel /
Progress-info dialog is not showing and I don't get any errors, exceptions
or print !. The call to ppReport.Print just finishes.

Using version 7.03.

    Hi Rene,

You mention that this "sometimes" happens. Are you able to verify what
conditions are necessary to recreate this behavior all the time? If so,
please send the exact steps I can take to recreate it or send a small
example demonstrating the behavior in .zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a look at it for you.

No unfortunately I am not able to do this.
It does not happen on any of our own computers. It happens at some of our
    customers.
At some customers it happens from time to time, at others it happens almost
everytime - for some specific reports, while it works for other reports.

That is why I was asking if you could just imagine ANY reason(s).

The thing that puzzles me most is that we are not getting any exceptions or
anything. Everything seems to be OK (except for the fact that the
cancel/Info-dialog is not showing and no print is generated) .

We kind of suspect that it is related to Windows XP, because we (our
customers) have never experienced this prior to XP.

    Hi Rene,

I have never heard of this behavior before. You might try upgrading to the
latest version of ReportBuilder and seeing if that helps the issue. Let me
know if your customers can isolate the issue so I can debug it on my
    machine.
