Access Violation in Print Preview
Hi,
Weird problem, may be with Citrix Server?
My app has been working fine for several weeks - running on Cytrix from
around the world connections, than all of a sudden I am getting Access
Violations when the report is being generated in Print preview.
My client says it does not happen when running outside of Citrix from a
local connection to the network, but only happens when running from Citrix??
Any one have any ideas what may be happening here????
Thanks for the help,
Austin

Most problems we see with Citrix and ReportBuilder have to do with user
access rights. Below are a couple of things to check.
1. ReportBuilder tries to access a printer driver even when previewing to
the screen. Be sure you have the correct permissions to access the printer
driver. If not, you should still be able to preview by setting the
DeviceType to "Screen". This option was added to ReportBuilder to be used
when no printer was available.
2. When using the designer, ReportBuilder tries to write a .ini file to
disk to keep the settings consistant when the designer is loaded again. If
you do not have write access to the specified directory (usually
Windows\System32), you could be seeing an error. It is possible to change
this setting so the .ini information is kept in the registry. See the
TppDesigner.IniStorageName and TppDesigner.IniStorageType properties for
more information.
