Ctrl+C in the Object Inspector

edited March 2005 in General
We're using RB 9.02 Build 2, and it hasn't fixed an issue that was
present in 9.01... We cannot copy text out of the Object Inspector
when the Report Builder designer is active. For example, to copy the
value of the Caption property of a regular TLabel on a regular Delphi
form, you simply select the text in the Object Inspector and hit
Ctrl+C. This technique doesn't work for ReportBuilder components.
Note, however, that the alternate shortcut, Ctrl+Ins, does work.

    Hi Jay,

This is currently a limitation of the built in inspector of ReportBuilder.
You can to use Ctrl + Ins as a work around for the time being.

    Nico,

How about a work around for pasting? Neither Ctl-V or Shift-Ins work.

    Nico,

Did this message get missed? I have not seen a response.

    Hi Bob,

As I mentioned before, this is a limitation of the inspector in
ReportBuilder. This may be something we research for a later release of
    ReportBuilder.

    Nico,

Your initial response was in regards to the copy function Ctl-C not working
but Ctl-Ins being a work around. There is no mention of the paste function,
is there a way to paste into the inspector?

    Bob,

I believe the windows alternative to paste (Ctrl + V) is Shft + Ins, but I
do not believe this works as a method of pasting into the object inspector.
This will have to remain a limitation of this feature.
