lOST tEXT
Hello,
I am using reportbuilder 7.03 with delphi (version 5) on a client
server, I am printing reports with RTF text using WPTools (version V4.11d),
this worked normally, except I had a call from the end user today and he has
said there was missing text, I checked and yes in fact there is missing
text. Well what happens to be more exact is the RTF prints in the footer
about ten lines ie for some reason the next page/end of page doesn't appear
to trigger.
As you can imagine this is fairly serious and we have to find a solution.
thanks a mill for some ideas/solutions.
brgds
Alex

This is not a known issue, however note that the footer band is the only
band that is not dynamic so it will not stretch or grow with your controls.
Be sure the size of your richtext control does not exceed the size of the
footer band.

This is the second time I have had this type of data loss issue with RB, the
last time I did a keep together it was on a simple data compoonent, this is
not possible this time as I have about five pages of RTF to display.
Yes I know the footer band is not dynamic.
The rich text is in a detail in a subreport that changes size dynamically,
so I don't the relation with the size of the footer. I have however reduced
the size of the RTF component to be smaller than my footer, this changes
nothing.
Other ideas ?
Sorry, I'm a bit confused about what your report looks like. Do you have a
subreport with a dynamic height detail band located in your main report's
footer band? If so, you are still trying to print a dynamically sized
object in a static band, which may be what is causing the problem. You
might try moving your subreport/richtext component to a different band such
as a group footer band instead.
