Access violation under Terminal Server when printing
Hi,
we want to print a report under Windows 2000 Terminal Server on a Canon
i5020 PCL. When we click the Print button in the Preview form, an Access
Violation occurs.
- We DO have rights to print on this printer.
- We try to print on another printer (IBM ProPrinter), and it works fine.
The report property SavePrinterSetup was set to FALSE, it didn't work, set
to TRUE, didn't work either. I know that some peoples experienced Access
Violations under Terminal Server, but I'd like to know what may cause this
error. Many people are printing on that printer using other applications and
don't have problems.

The fact that you are able to print to one printer and not another leads me
to believe that it is a printer issue. Be sure that in addition to having
rights to print to this printer, you also have full access to the printer
driver associated with it. Like you said, we have many customers
successfully using Windows Terminal Services, so perhaps some of them will
chime in with their experiences.

Server clients. RB used to have problems if there was not default printer
defined (not sure if that is still the case).
