Re: Word Wrap in ppDBMemo

edited July 2005 in General
Greetings,

From previous research I know that wordwrap does not break on a word. It
wraps where ever the end of component is whether in a middle of a word or at
the end of one.

My question to you: Is this issue address in future release and if so which
one?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Tim

    Hi Tim,

Which version of ReportBuilder are you currently using? To the best of my
knowledge the WordWrap feature is working properly (i.e. breaking on the
word). There is also a CharWrap feature that breaks in the middle of words.

Tppdbmemo does not have a wordwrap property. It does have a charwrap and
    stretch property.

The WordWrap feature in ReportBuilder is working as designed.

    1. A Memo or DBMemo always wraps text, therefore there is no boolean
    property to turn it on/off.

    2. If you set CharWrap to true, then the words can broken in middle as you
describe. This feature was added at the request of customers that use
languages such Chinese. The default value of CharWrap is False.

    Hi Tim,

Sorry for the confusion. The memo objects are set to wordwrap by
definition. In my testing, the DBMemo object wordwraps correctly in RB
    9.02.
