Create a dataview with SQL???

Is is possible to create a dataview on the Data tab using SQL? When I
open the query designer, click the SQL tab and try to enter my SQL I
cannot type anything in the memo component.

    Forget it. I discovered what I was doing wrong. I can now paste SQL
    into the query designer.
