SuppressRepeated - Over zealous?

edited September 2005 in General
I have a report with 2 nested groups. The outer group is for a company,
the inner group is for employees. Each employee can have 1 or more
detail rows and the name has SuppressRepeated set to true. The Employee
group has KeepTogether set to true.

Each new page will therefore start with an employee who was not on the
previous page. I have noticed that the name will be suppressed, even on
the first line:
a) if the last employee on the previous page had multiple entries
b) the new employee has multiple entries

I have now set the ReprintOnSubsequent to true and this has fixed the
problem. Why was this necessary when the group was not split over the
page break?

    Hi Dave,

Have not seen this behavior before. Which version of ReportBuilder are you
using? If possible, please send a small example demonstrating this behavior
to support@digital-metaphors.com and I can take a look at it for you. In
the mean time, it seems the problem is inadvertently solved?
