dbBarcode Error

I'm using Delphi 6 SP2 RB Server 7.04 Build 2 and I'm getting access
violations when using a dbBarcode on a report.

From various posts there appears to be a patch available which I requested
via email but no response.

Is there a patch to solve the dbBarcode issue?
