TeeChart

edited September 2005 in General
I want to upgrade from Delphi 7 to Delphi 2005. I have TeeChart Standard
version 7.05 for Delphi 2005. If I buy ReportBuilder Standard 9.02 will it
work with that version of TeeChart? Thanks.

RB 9.02 is compiled to support TeeChart 7.04.

I just checked the Steema web site and do not see a TeeChart 7.05 available
    for download.

Perhaps you are referring to a pre-release version.

Always install TeeChart first and then ReportBuilder, so that the RB
installation program can try to detect which version of TeeChart you have
    installed.

The ReportBuilder online help contains details directions for manually
building and installing ReportBuilder TeeChart related packages.

Access the RBuilder.hlp, select the Table of Contents, and then select
ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi X where X is the version of
    Delphi that you are using.

By the way, when you go to the Steema download screen for TeeChart Standard
it says version 7.04. However, when you download the file the file name is
    standard7.05delphi2005.exe. I haven't installed it yet so I don't know what
    the installed version number is.

Interesting. The file that we used at the time of RB 9.02 release was
    TeeChart7.04Delphi2005.exe.

You will need to test and if there is a compatibility issue, then manually
rebuild the RB TeeChart related packages as described in the RBuilder Help.
