Duplexing with Detail that Spans Pages
I have set up duplexing as in the Tech Tip "Duplexing: Printing a
Disclaimer on the Back of Every Page", but (1) if a subreport's detail
should appear on more than one page the remaining (or all) entries do
not appear (covered by the report header perhaps?). Additionally (2) if
a detail band from the main report (as opposed to the subreport) spans
more than one page a large blank space is present at the top of
subsequent pages. The space ("gap" below) is always of the same size
regardless of whether or not and detail bands are missing from the
subreport.
To diagram...
Heirarchy
---------
Main Report
H (Contains Text to be Present on the Back of Each Page)
D (see number 2 above)
SR
T
D (see number 1 above)
S

etc. where there should be, say, 6 detail bands, but only 3 were displayed
My guess is that these are two different problems here. Any ideas what's
going on and how to correct it?
Thanks for the Help,
Stanley

We have not seen this behavior before. Are you certain the size of your
header band is equal to the size of page? You are correct, it seems that
for some reason it is cutting off some of your detail bands when it
overflows to the next page. If possible, please send a small example of
this behavior in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take
a look at it for you.
