Hewlett Packard HP 8550 problems

edited October 2005 in General
Hi

A client of ours has purchased and installed an HP 8550 network printer.
When they attempt to generate any report from our system (which uses
ReportBuilder for reporting and has done for several years without any
problems) they get an error 'Canvas does not allow drawing'. The workstation
prints MS office (Word Excel) stuff OK is there any issue regarding this
printer? Any ideas what I can suggest they try next?

That error message indicates that RB cannot obtain a valid device context to
    the printer.

    1. Try downloading the latest printer driver and perform the same test. (You
can test this on your machine, even if you do not have the printer).

    2. Make that the user account under which the app is running has full access
    rights to the printer.
