Rb 9 compability to Rb 7

Are reports made with RB 7 compatible with RB 9?
And... Are reports made with RB 9 compatible with RB 7?

I´m asking this because we have a customer that wants to buy the tools
that we use to develop the software that we sell to them to start
parallel development.

Hi Carlos,


Yes, all reports created with RB 7 will automatically update to the RB 9
format.


No, you will most likely encounter errors (due to new features that do not
exist in RB 7) when loading reports created in RB 9. ReportBuilder reports
are not forward compatable.

RB7 reports are compatible with version 9, but RB9 reports are NOT
compatible with RB 7, because RB9 converted the RB7 reports to a new format.
