Editing a raf file

edited October 2005 in General
Hi

Can I edit a raf file?
What i want to do is I have lots of reports written with WPTools and
printed with RB (v7 and v9) (using WptoolsRB component) and stored as
raf files.
When I upgraded from wptools 4.25 to 5.1.28 I had trouble with turkish
charachters with the prior generated raf reports. The archive engine I
guess is using the new wptoolsRB renderer to regenerate the report from
raf file (Am I wrong here because before the upgrade the turkish
charachters were fine?).
All I need to do is change patterns like '\'fd' to '\u305 ?' in the raf
file.

    Hi Bora,

This is something that WPTools should address during the loading process of
older archive files. All an archive file does is store each drawcommand in
binary format as it is displayed on a finished report. This information is
then loaded directly into each new drawcommand when the report is loaded
from the archive reader. If there is a problem with a WPTools component, it
is due to their drawcommand code. You might try contacting WPTools support
and asking if this is a known issue.
