Selection contains a component introduced in an ancestor and cannot be deleted

I have a report component placed on unit A and then I inherited unit A to
unit B, then when I open the inherited report component in unit B and want
to load a .rtm, an error message "Selection contains a component introduced
in an ancestor and cannot be deleted" is prompted and now I can only load a
rtm on the parent unit (unit A), why?

Its a limitation. You cannot use report templates (.rtm files) with form
inheritance.
