Crosstab generates too many pages

edited January 2006 in General
Hi

When using a very straightforward crosstab reportbuilder generates as many
pages as are the result in de total column, plus 1.

Is it possible to limit the amount of pages?

    Hi Bart,

Which version of ReportBuilder are you using? Are you able to recreate this
issue using the crosstab demos located in the \RBuilder\Demos\2.
CrossTabs\... directory. If possible, please send a small example
demonstrating this issue using the DBDEMOS database in .zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a look at it for you.

    Hi Nico,

The version we are using is 9.0.2
I wish I could recreate itto you liking; however, that is not possible.
The next best sollution is to describe it:
    - In the database record is kept of the schoolhours pupils are not
    present, including the reason.
    - The crosstab calculates
per class, per reason, a sub-total (reason), a grand-total (class) of
    hours absent.
    Straightforward.
However, if the grand-total is 261 of hours absent, reportbuilder will
create 262 (identical) pages. I only need 1.

Hope this made it more clear.
    Regards,

    Bart

Put the crosstab object in the summary band. Not the detail band. That
    should do it.
