RB 7.04 vs 9

Hi,

D7 RB 7.04

Been having problems with the images and overlays. The same issues on
your posts.

Question: I have patched 7.04 once a while back. Has there been many
changes to the image processing and slowness of printing images in 9
that have not been kept up in 7.04. Is there additional patches that I
need for 7.04. Or can you give me a good reason to upgrade to 9 that
will fly with my boss.

Hi Louis,

We have not enhanced the image processing since RB 7.04. What problems are
you encountering with images?

There are however many good reasons to upgrade to RB 9 including the
following...

1. Undo support for the designer. This in itself could reduce report
design time very significantly as well as cure many headaches .

2. The entire designer workspace has been enhanced to make the design
process much easier to see and use.

3. Other various features such as native PDF export, TdaSQLBuilder object,
and rotated text are also nice.
