In a customer's printer the frame around a field/variable we see in the designer is displayed in the printout as well.Same report works ok in my setup. Any ideas?
This is not a known issue. Which version of ReportBuilder/Delphi are you using? Does this frame show up in the Previewer on screen. Be sure you are not setting the Border property of the text oject. Also, be sure ther is not a shape perhaps behind the text object.
I am using RB 6.03 in D5 (legacy application). The printer is Epson epl-n 2750. What we observed is that when the Transparent = true the problem goes away!
Sorry, It is not easy to upgrade. Setting the transparent property to true the problem is solved, so we are ok. However can you think of some possible reason that this happens? Thanks Yannis
I am unsure the reason however my guess would be something to do with the printer driver. You may try upgrading your printer driver or try printing to a different printer and see if that changes things.

Thanks for the info. You may consider upgrading to a later version of
ReportBuilder and seeing if the problem still exists.
