RB 10.01 doesn't allow undo's

edited March 2006 in General
Hi,

Since upgrading to 10.01 (from version 7) I am unable to undo any changes I
make anymore, whether it be in Delphi Design time, or through the user
interface during runtime.

Is this a known issue, or have I done somethign wrong?

Thanks & Regards

Adam.

    Hi Adam,

The Undo feature was introduced for ReportBuilder 9 and was not available
for RB 7. We have no known issues where it did not function. Are you able
to use it at all? For instance, place a label on a report, move it to a new
position, then select Undo from the Edit menu. If this does not work
correctly you may have a corrupt installation. Try reinstalling your
    version of ReportBuilder.

    Nico,

I have not yet had time to try out v10, but in v9.03, the undo does have a
problem when the undo is a move of several objects.

If I start moving the objects via and then attempt to undo
the moves, the objects do not move in tandem. The initial move is applied
to all objects, but RB records each object move separately so to undo the
move, I have to undo by the number of objects selected.

If rather than using the keyboard , I drag the selected
objects with the mouse or use the Nudge button on the toolbar, the move is
recoded as a single action so the undo occurs en masse.

    Hi Bob,

This now works correctly for RB 10.01.

    Hi Nico,

Yup, that was the problem. Uninstalling and reinstalling RB1001 fixed the
    problem.

    Thanks & Regards

    Adam.
