Problems with dot matrix printer set to default

edited April 2006 in General
Hi,

I have a report with a ppVariable, that summarize the values of the each
page, inside FooterBand. When the default printer of computer is set to a
dot matrix printer, RB sums the value of first record of second page in the
first page. If I just change the default printer to a laser printer the
record that was printed on second page, now is printed on the first page
and, then, the sum on the FooterBand is correct. What can I do to report
print in same form, independent of default printer??

Thanks,

    Hi Weverton,

Which version of ReportBuilder/Delphi are you using? Also, which model Dot
Matrix printer are you using? Are you able to see this behavior in the
Previewer as well as on paper? Are you using a dynamic height detail band?
As a test try moving the variable in the footer band to a different band and
see if that makes a difference.

    Hi,

    * I'm using RB 9.03, Delphi 7.
    * The model of dot matrix printer is Epson FX 1170.
    * I'm able to see this behavior in the preview too. (I'm using ppViewer)
    * I'm using a dynamic height detail band.
    * To test, do I just move ppVariable to another band?? The height of
    FooterBand will be same...

    Thanks,

    Hi Weverton,

Sorry but I am unable to recreate this behavior on my own. I have
installed the Epson FX 1170 driver but am unable to make an example that
shows the error. If possible, please send a small example I can run on my
machine in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a
    look.
