DBRich Text Problem - D2006 ADO and MS Access
Hi,
I have come upon a problem when using MS Access and ADO with Rich Text
fields.
I'm converting a D7 application to D2006. Rich Text memo fields appear as
"{" in a Report Builder report as well as on Infopower's Rich Text Control,
but appear correctly in Borland's DBRich Text Control.
Thanks to Martijn Tonies of Database Workbench, he pointed me in the
direction of the problem. It appears that Borland changed the default type
of memo fields in ADO so that a MS Access memo field is ftWideMemo rather
than as before an ftMemo.
Any suggestions?? This appears to really mess up my application.

Please create a small example project. Include a simple report that contains
a single DBRichText component and include an example MS Access database that
contains the wide memo fields. Send in zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com.
We can check it out and try to create a patch for RB 10.03.
