RTF Rendering Problem

edited June 2006 in General
Hello,

I am experiencing quite an odd problem with Report Builder. I have a
standard memo field in a Microsoft Access database that stores a rich text
formatted string e.g. :

{\rtf1\ansi\deff0{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 MS Sans Serif;}{\f1\fnil MS
Sans Serif;}}
\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang2057\f0\fs16 MY RICH TEXT FORMATTED STRING
\par \lang1033\f1
\par }

I have a report setup that has a DBRichText object linked to the memo
database field containing the rich text, it is in the detailed area of the
report (which is dynamic) and the object is set to stretch.

The problem is that when a certain amount of text is entered, let's say more
than 60 characters' worth, the report when previewed/printed shows the rich
text formatted code as well as the normal text - as though it fails to
render it. But when it's less than 60 characters' it renders fine. Has
anyone else ever come across anything like this?

I am using Report Builder 7.02 Enterprise.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

- Stuart

P.S. A much more detailed brief including details of the system/data for the
problem is attached in a PDF.

    Hi Stuart,

    For future reference, please send all attachments to
    support@digital-metaphors.com.

    We have not seen this behavior before. Which version of Delphi are you
    using? I would first suggest updating your version of ReportBuilder to RB
    7.04 and testing with that. Contact info@digital-metaphors.com with your
    serial number for update information. Also, if possible, please post the
    entire formatted richtext string you are having problems with (with rtf
    tags) so I can run some tests here.
