Teechart and delphi

Which versions of reportbuilder I can use.
I am using delphi 6 and teechart 7.06.
Please help me, because reportbuilder 7.04 is not working.

You need to rebuild the RB TeeChart related packages.





- RB 10.03 is compiled to support TeeChat 7.07 the latest release.



- The ReportBuilder online help contains details about



- Teechart versions supported

- Known limititations of TeeChart support

- Directions for manually building and installing ReportBuilder TeeChart
related packages.



Access the RBuilder.hlp, select the Table of Contents, and then select
ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi X where X is the version of
Delphi that you are using.

I am trying to understand. I do not want to make a mistake, because the
last time I tried to install teechart and reportbuilder was a very hard
experience.

So:
the questions are:

1. Can delphi 6 update pack 2, reportbuilder 7.04 and teechart 7.07 live
togheter?

2. Is there any special procedure to do that, because your help says
yes, and it says it is very easy, but a friend is almost killing himself
because after 3 days trying, reportbuilder can not connect to teechart.

I have not tried, but yes it should be possible.

ReportBuilder for Delphi 6 is compiled to to be compatibile with Delphi 6
general update 2.

Note that there are two Borland Delphi 6 udpate 2 packs. A General Update
pack 2 and a Delphi 6 RTL Update pack 2. See the Borland Delphi 6 Registered
users download page for details. TeeChart 7.x for D6 is compiled with both
the update packs. This causes an issue whether it is RB 7.x or RB 9.x or RB
10.x.

To resolve the issue, you need to manually build the RB TeeChart related
packages. Please see the directions in the RBuilder.hlp.

Building packages with Delphi is unfortunatley prone to error. I do wish
Borland would make the process easier. .
