identify last record in group detail

i have a master/detail report. there is a line after each detail record
(part of the subreport detail band) in the group to help distinguish the
rows of data. this works great, however the last detail record has a
line that we would like to eliminate since it's not needed because group
header also has lines ... is there anyway to know if we are on the last
detail record of a group and suppress the line before the group break?
