Printing barcodes to PDF

edited July 2006 in General
I'm experiencing the following problem:

The barcode which i print on my report prints just fine when the device is
set to "printer",
but doesn't seem to print properly when device is set to "pdf".
The barcode from the printer can be scanned, the one from the pdf can't.

The barcode on the pdf looks fuzzy (changing compression doesn't help)

    Hi Oliver,

When a barcode is exported to PDF using the native device, it is first
converted into a bitmap. This process can reduce the image quality of the
barcode when it is then added to the PDF file. It is on our to-do list to
support vector graphics and manually draw each barcode directly to the PDF
file for a later release of ReportBuilder. As an alternative, you may try
using one of the advanced third party export PDF devices such as Gnostice.
I believe they support vector graphic export.
