TExtraDevices (trial), RB 10.03 (trial) and Delphi 2006

Hello,

I'm trying to migrate a project written in Delphi 7 which is using
ReportBuilder 7.02 and TExtraDevices 2.6 (both registered).

I have installed ReportBuilder 10.03 (trial) as well as the most recent
version of TExtraDevices for Delphi 2006 (also a trial).

When I remove the TExtraDevice component from my project, it compiles
and runs without any problems, but as soon as I add the component it
will give me the following error message:

"[Pascal Fatal Error] CustomerListFormUnit.pas(90): F2051 Unit TXRB was
compiled with a different version of ppProd.TppProducer"

This question may be more of interest for the author of TExtraDevices,
but if any one have a workaround, please let me know.

Hi Mikael,

This error indicates that the TExtraDevices package was not compiled with
the version of ReportBuilder you have installed. I would recommend
contacting waler support (support@waler.com) for more information on how to
solve this issue.

It was what I suspected.
I will contact Waler support about this one, and hope that they can
assist me.

Ok, I have tried to contact the Waler support twice, but haven't yet
recieved a reply. They seem not be be as quick as you guys.

Anyway, what I would like to ask this community is if anyone knows if
TExtraDevices works well with the more recent ReportBuilder versions,
or if there exists another good alternative?

Hi Mikael,

Once you have the purchased versions of ReportBuilder and TExtraDevices, it
is possible then to manually rebuild the TExtraDevices package with the
current RBuilder source.
