Install RB10.04 with Teechart 7.06

Hello,

During RB10.04 installation only Teechart 7.07 is supported .... Is it
possible to have both RB10.04 and Tee 7.06 working together?

Hi Luis,

ReportBuilder 10.04 natively supports TeeChart 7.07. It is possible to
recompile and install the RB/TeeChart packages to enable earlier versions of
TeeChart to work with ReportBuilder however we do not recommend or support
this action. Is there a reason you do not want to upgrade to TeeChart 7.07?

Hi Nico,

We are basically a software factory. The main concern (for us) at this
moment is that we have several projects already using Teechart 7.06 (none
with RB). The process to upgrade components is a long one since we have to
upgrade a lot of projects and run a complete set of (costly) regresion tests
... so I know that eventually we are going to migrate to 7.07 but at this
time it's nearly impossible.

Now, we need to fulfill the combination Tee7.06 - RB10.04 for a single
project (and a couple of simple reports). I undestand that if anything goes
wrong with the recompilation you cannot take responsability for that ...
could you provide me the instructions on how to recompile the packages? We
really need to take a shoot on recompilation first.

The ReportBuilder online help contains details about

- Teechart versions supported
- Known limititations of TeeChart support
- Directions for manually building and installing ReportBuilder TeeChart
related packages.

Access the RBuilder.hlp, select the Table of Contents, and then select
ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi X where X is the version of
Delphi that you are using.

Hello Nard,

Ok, I saw this before. The thing is that wewould like to use RB 10.04 with
the current official version of components here: Techart 7.06. How can we
make both work together? ....

We will update the components to Teechart 7.07 eventually but we need to
test in a lot of applications that use Teechart 7.06.

Hi Luis,

Read Nard's post again. In order to have an older version of TeeChart work
with RB 10.04 you will need to rebuild and reinstall the RB/TeeChart
packages manually. Instructions can be found in the RB help file.
