Send Backwards / Bring Forward

edited January 2007 in General
Hi,

In Reportbuilder designer, we have an option to send a component to the
back, or bring it to the front. Is there an option that will allow us to
'send backwards or bring forwards' by one unit at a time?

If not - would you consider including this in your next release?

Thanks & Regards

Adam.

    Hi Adam,

Currently there is no feature to move an object back or forward in the
z-order by one. This would be a nice addition, I will mark this down to be
researched for a later release. Thanks for the feedback.

    Hi Nico,

No problems. If you're chasing some other suggestions . can I add:

    1) Diagonal Lines
At the moment, your lines only support vertical and horizontal. An option to
be able to have diagonal lines would be fantastic. (TopRight to Bottom left,
    etc).

    and,

    2) AutoSize Option
When I drag a selection of fields from the datatree onto my report - it
starts from the left side, and continues to drop fields until it reaches the
right hand side. If I have lots of fields, or some larger string fields for
instance - these can take up a large amount of space - and all the fields
after it are jammed on top of each other on the right hand side of the
    report.

If RB could 'detect' that the fields were going to require more space on the
page, and give me an option to resize the fields before it places them on
the form (ie, shrink to fit) - it would be very handy.

    Thanks & Regards

    Adam.
