ppPrintDialog AV

I got the AV problem when ppPrintDialog box comes up.
The printer drop down does not show anything and
the 'Type' displays 'lblPrinterTypeDesc' and
the 'Where' displays 'lblPrinterWhereDesc'

Myconfig:
RB 7.04 and Citrix.

It seems RB does not detect any printers/printer driver.

Hi Alan,

In the past when our customers have had problems with Citrix, it was
primarily a user access issue. Be sure you have full access to the printer
driver(s) RB is trying to use.

As I am not quite understand what do you meant by the user need to have full
access to the printer driver.
The users have no problem in printing using MS Office products, I would
think they have the access to the printer driver.

Hi Alan,

We have customers using RB and Citrix successfully, however we do not have
much Citrix experience here.

RB uses standard Windows API commands to get a list of the available
printers (EnumPrinters). For a selected printer, it calls DeviceCapabilities
to get a list of available paper sizes, paper bins, etc. The windows account
under which your Delphi/RB applications are running need full security
rights to the printer.
