Paper tray ignored
Hi there,
I'm having an issue with this two printers:
1.- HP LaserJet 1320 PCL 6
2.- TOSHIBA e-STUDIO 120
When I print from my Delphi 7 application (RB 7.03) paper is not being fed
normally from the standard paper tray. Instead, I must feed the paper
manually, sheet by sheet. If I then close my Delphi App. and fire up Word or
Excel, printing to the same devices goes as expected, i.e., paper is fed
from the paper tray, no need to feed it up manually.
Is there a setting I could change from my Delphi/RB application that could
help solve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
-Benton

ReportBuilder does not communicate directly with your printer, it uses the
Windows API which in turn sends commands to the printer driver. Are you
printing to the size paper that is located in the default bin? I believe
some printers will automatically ask for a manual feed if the paper size is
not supported by the default bin.

This is interesting behavior. Does this occur on every printer or just the
two you mentioned in your first post? My first suggestion would be to
upgrade your version of ReportBuilder to RB 7.04 and see if that fixes the
problem. Contact info@digital-metaphors.com with your serial number for
upgrade instructions.
If this does not help, try downloading a trial copy of RB 10.06 for Delphi 7
and test with that.
