View canceled report while printing
Hi,
Whenever a report is printed to the screen we set report.Devicetype to
ArchiveFile. After the report is printed we use the ppArchiveReader to view
the report. Now whenever a report is canceled (hit the cancel button on the
ShowCancelDialog form) while printing (report.ShowCancelDialog := True)
after printing (generating) x pages, in RB7 we got the preview of the x-1
pages, now in RB10 we just get an empty preview. How can we achieve the same
behavior in RB10 as with RB7.
Greetings,

The device architecture has gone through some changes since RB 7. One of
the main changes was to how reports are canceled internally. This was due
to many customer requests and our own definition that cancelling a report
should actually prevent the report from ever being generated, not just
stopped. Unfortunately we do not currently have a feature to stop
generation and still retain the partially created report. This will be
something that we will consider adding to a later release of ReportBuilder.
Thanks for your feedback.
