I understand the unicode part but is that true for the multi-byte part? We have plenty of reports working in Chinese and Japanese. The reports just seemed to work without requiring specific mods.
It is my understanding that Unicode is not required to display a language properly. Any language can be displayed properly by configuring the Windows regional settings. However, if an application needs to display multiple languages, then Unicode is required.

I used TppMemo to show Chinese Characters. When changed the line, some wrong codes like rectangle were found. I have changed Memo's charset to be GB2312_CHARSET, but it didn't work. Can you help me to solve this question? Thanks!
That's true. But double-byte support means that you can have an application that is using one double-byte language, like Chinese. I think, you are selling yourself short by saying you don't support double-byte languages. Our experience shows it does support a single double-byte language at a time. You can't do multiple double-byte languages, because that would require unicode support.
You have to tell windows what language to use for non-unicode applications. This works for us, but I have not actually tested it with ReportBuilder.
* In Windows XP select Start menu > Settings > Control Panel. * In the Control Panel select Regional and Language Options. * Select the Advanced tab. * Set the Language for non-Unicode programs to the correct language.

For future reference, please post to these newsgroups with your real name.
ReportBuilder does not currently support multi-byte charsets or unicode.
This is something we are considering adding for a future release.
